Google Drive Prices Reduced
In an unprecedented move to popularize and set another trend Google has lowered its Google Drive prices and this possibly is going to be one major shakeup of the cloud storage pricing trends and at the end the consumer is going to benefit from it all.
Google Drive was launched in 2012 and has since been the go-to place for storage for most applications like Gmail, Cloud Storage, Google+ Photos (formerly Picasa web albums) and was in competition with Dropbox and Microsoft OneDrive (formerly SkyDrive).
But Google has announced a price cut and a large one at that for the Google Drive Storage solutions, Google is offering a 15GB free storage space for all with a Gmail account, other than that for the 100GB $4.99 was charged but now it would only cost $1.99 per month, as well the 1TB storage which was costing $49.99 per month would now be charged at only $9.99 per month a massive reduction and for those data intensive needs google offers 10TB at $99.99 per month, 20TB at $199.99 per month and 30TB at $299.99 per month.

Today, thanks to a number of recent infrastructure improvements, we’re able to make it more affordable for you to keep everything safe and easy to reach on any device, from anywhere. ” and also mentioned “…If you already pay for storage, you’ll automatically move to a better plan at no additional cost. Google drive in comparison with competition like Dropbox offers a 100GB at $9.99 per month, while SugarSync offers 60GB at $7.49 per month, 100GB at $9.99 250GB at $24.99 per month and 1TB at $55 per month. Plans at OneDrive compare at 50GB at $25 annually, 100GB at $50 annually and 200GB at $100 annually, OneDrive also offers a plethora of its services online for the files stored to be worked on and shared with and simultaneous authoring.
Google too has announced its online services enhancing the cloud stored documents to have a direct edit and review functionality along with the latest Merge My MailChimp which allows users to send customized mails from the Google Docs and also a functionality called Merge Tags which would allow users to pull information from Spreadsheets at Google Docs to local documents.
