MakerBot launches one of a kind Multi-Material Full Color 3D Printer
|Solidworks World 2014 convention in San Diego sported an entrant with a most unconventional piece, MakerBot launched a first of a kind 3D Printer “Objet500 Connex3” Color Multi-material 3D Printer by using colored plastic in the more traditional inkjet form of Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow, set to “change design, engineering and manufacturing processes”.
Posted on the company’s blog Stratasys maker of the first 3D Printer mentioned “The Objet500 Connex 3 Color Multi-material 3D Printer is the only 3D Printer that enables colour 3D printing with virtually unlimited combinations of rigid, flexible, and transparent materials as well as digital materials – in a single print run”.
The company also mentioned “Now designers, engineers and manufacturers can 3D print complex prototypes and moving parts without assembly or painting and bring products to market faster and at a lower cost”.
In a demonstration the Printer has proved that it could print multicolored shoes and Bicycle helmets in a single print run. Thus leaving to the imagination of users on the possibilities of various materials that could be used for printing different objects, at an affordable price of the end product.
