iOS 8 May Come Soon With Few Big Improvements
|Apple has very recently released the update iOS 7.1 and is still in the process of providing it to the customers and there are already leaks on the release of iOS8.
With the iOS 8 the iPhone too would supposedly be joining the race towards the health related apps with its new Healthbook App, while 9to5Mac has come up with a coverage on few more features that might be included in the iOS8.
9to5Mac reports that there are good chances that the new iOS 8 would be majorly updating the present iOS Maps, iOS Maps replaced the Google Maps in 2012 from the iOS6 release and has been continuously upgraded and improved till now but seemingly there are still large flaws and would remotely even compete with Google Maps at least in terms of accuracy and relevance.
Australian Police went ahead and also issued a warning that Apple Maps are so bad it might kill you after more than 6 people have been rescued from misplaced locations some even in the middle of the desert, in the last 2 months. Apple is expected to make a headway and further breakthrough with the iOS Maps with atleast three big heads, Apple CEO Tim Cook, Senior Vice Presidents Eddy Cue and Craig Federighi, and Maps head Patrice Gautier working towards making the Apple Maps to live up to the expectations “incredibly High Standards” of Apple customers, this also can be associated to the fact that Apple’s latest acquisitions of companies like Broadmap, Embark an HopStop would enhance these chances to make more relevant changes.
Another of the Apps that iOS8 would be including is the new Transit App, which would integrate with the public transport system to provide an interactive and intuitive navigation and guidance system which would allow the user to receive data on the public transport system facilities that are available for traveling to the nearest airports, this app is initially targeted to cities like New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles while other cities and countries would be slowly integrated.
There are also talks that work on Augmented Reality is also going on to be provided along but this may or may not be included in the iOS8 release and may be delayed for iOS9.
If all things go according to plan with no major changes in schedules then there is a good possibility for the iOS8 to be launched coinciding the release of the iPhone6 phone and Phablet around August, while the Developers might receive iOS8 beta a little in advance for testing and development.
