LG G Pro2 Flagship Phablet released with Android 4.4 Kitkat
|LG has finally ended the suspense with its unveiling and officially released the LG G Pro 2 phablet, there were many a rumor till now and putting an end to all of them we now know of the actual piece, while it has contradicted most of the rumors in terms of shape, design and specs, we still have a very neat and impressive phablet at hand.
Without further ado, going straight to the specs, we see the LG G Pro 2 look great inside and out, touting a full HD 5.9 inch Display, 4G Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 2.26 GHz Processor, 3GB RAM, Android Kitkat 4.4 OS, Connectivity through Wifi a/b/c/n/ac, LTE-A, Bluetooth 4.0, 13MP Primary camera with LG’s new Optical Image Stabilization function and 2.1MP front camera, also the rear power/lock key and volume rocker as the earlier LG G2. The LG G Pro 2 will be available in Black, White and Titanium and 16GB and 32 GB Internal Memory variants, with Expandable memory to 64 GB via Micro SD Card slot.
The Optical Image Stabilization ready adds a nice touch to the cool 13 MP camera but there are some more interesting things about the Camera, the new “Magic Focus” feature to select the depth of field after the shot has been captured, upto 20 shots in Burst mode, an improved Flash, also the Phablet features a capture of 4K Ultra HDS Video recording at a whooping 120fps and supports slow-motion editing and the Gallery Collage Feature.
Though there have been speculations of the screen being curved like the G Flex and expectations of the Finger Print techs, the LG G Pro 2 seemingly does not have them, but instead there has been a new way to unlock the phone, an new and innovative method that LG calls “Knock Code”, Users can create their unlock patterns with taps “Knocking” on the touchscreen and the combination can range from 2 to 8 taps, another of the new feature is the dual browser mode.
There has no announcement yet from LG on the actual availability and pricing except statements saying Global availability which has to be seen, but LG is sure to show off this model at the Mobile World Congress and we are all eager to try it firsthand.
